The Three Doshas
Every person has a unique combination of these three fundamental energies
Air + Space
The energy of movement and communication. Vata governs breathing, circulation, nerve impulses, and all forms of motion in the body.
Characteristics: Slender build, quick mind, creative, energetic in bursts, light sleeper, sensitive to cold and wind.
Fire + Water
The energy of transformation and metabolism. Pitta governs digestion, body temperature, hormonal balance, and mental sharpness.
Characteristics: Medium build, strong appetite, focused mind, warm body, prone to sweating, sensitive to heat.
Earth + Water
The energy of structure and stability. Kapha governs immunity, physical strength, joint lubrication, and emotional grounding.
Characteristics: Solid build, calm temperament, strong immunity, deep sleeper, steady energy, sensitive to cold and damp.
Prakriti Types
